Don't forget 高油價 and 美金不斷貶值 are the policy which have been adopted and still currently adopted by the US government. US政府已表明唔俾炒油 is just a gesture just like they always say STRONG USD policy has to be safeguarded. |

The US federal interest rates adjusted down to the present 2% on 30 April 2008 from 5% on 10 May 2006 was what the US government has done to further push up crude oil price. An attack on Iranian nuclear sites may be unavoidable. Is it sensible to think that the Iranian nuclear plans will suddenly disappear? If it remains there are so many pundits to participate the crude oil speculation. Will global oil demand be going to fade? Predicting crude oil prices may reach higher and higher records is what why we should rethink. 油價好快ｄｒｏｐ到$10x is possible but not probable before all these factors and/or any of each don't exist firstly! |

The total amount of oil available everyday in the world is 85 million barrels. The US alone has been using 21 million barrels of the 85-million. So it is really doubtful if ａｌｔｅｒnative energy can make use as a means for help! Rather than expecting oil prices to go down somehow, we should accept that it must go further up first for us to be able to solve the problem in the long term. | 留言者：Green Peace | 2008-07-24 | | 第23篇 回應主文 | 雖然現在也有可再生能源作為選擇，但是可再生能源能夠取代多少石油以及可再生能源本身可能導致的環境破壞還不肯定和有爭議。陽光、風、地熱和其它可再生能源無法取代石油作為高能量密度的運輸能源。要取代石油這些可再生能源必須轉換為電（以蓄電池的形式）或者氫（通過燃料電池或內燃）來驅動運輸工具。另一個方案是使用生物質能產生的液體燃料（乙醇、生物柴油）來驅動運輸工具，但是目前的技術還無法讓生質燃料夠環保。總而言之要取代石油作為主要運輸能源是一件非常不容易的事情。
